Special Considerations
The Washed Ever Teak finish is a multi-step, hand-applied finish. The wood is first hand-distressed with a wire brush before a polyurethane finish is applied to help protect it from naturally occurring changes caused by outdoor elements.
Because the finish is applied by hand, variations in the application and wire brushing are normal. Over time, the finish may fade and wear, revealing the natural teak underneath, which will gradually weather to a gray tone. The rate of weathering will vary depending on climate, exposure, and maintenance.
For added protection and to minimize aging, outdoor furniture covers are strongly recommended. Furniture placed near pools or spas should be rinsed frequently to remove chlorine and chemical buildup. Prolonged exposure can dry out finishes, accelerate fabric deterioration, and may void the warranty.
